On the 5th of September 2013, Mr. Somkiat Chinthammit, CEO of WMSL, has been invited to be one of the Education Panelists of ICSEC 2013 (International Computer Science and Engineering Conference). ICSEC has been organized to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Information Security to a common forum, where a constructive dialog on theoretical concepts, practical ideas, and results of the state of the art will be developed. The event was sponsored by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) which is the world's largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
Mr. Somkiat, along with other representatives from IBM, Intel, and Microsoft, represented the panelists from the Industry where they discussed finding the innovation in teaching Computer Science and Engineering fields for Thai students that have skills and core knowledge which can sustain the changes in the field. The forum was also attended by guests from International and prominent local Academics such as Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, Kasetsart University, Silpakorn University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. The expected outcome from this panel would be the best practice in necessary skill development and a sustainable core body of knowledge.
